Q: What’s Activities and Occasions? What’s the difference?
There’s a big difference! Let us explain:
Activities are used to describe what’s happening at the event, ranging from:
Jazz Concert would use “Jazz” and ‘Live Music” under music.
Yoga Class would use “Yoga” under “Health and Fitness”.
Happy Hour would use “Happy Hour” under “Food” or “Beer, Wine, Spirits”.
Networking Event would use “Networking” under “Professional Development”.
By entering these descriptions of the event we are able to give a better description of the event to potential attendees and get them excited for it!
Occasions are used to describe the mood or setting for the event, not what will actually be happening. Using the same examples from above, the event organizer might select:
Jazz Concert could select “Pet Friendly” and “Outside” if it’s an outdoor venue!
Yoga Class could select “Local” and “Kid Friendly” if it’s a local studio and kid friendly!
Happy Hour could select “With Friends” and “Date Night” as it’s a great chance to go out.
Networking Event could select “For Adults” and “Local” since it’s a local networking event for business professionals
By entering these selections we are able to give even better recommendations then the activities by themselves provide, and allow us to really match the audience with the right events!
Q: Can we add multiple activities or occasion per event?
Yes! You can add as many activities and occasions as you want that apply to your event.
Q: Can we add new activities or occasions?
At this time you can not directly add new activities or occasions to the options, but you can suggest new ones for our regular platform updates here.
Q: Will Event Vesta work on Mobile?
You bet! We’ve worked hard to make sure our platform is mobile optimized!
Q: Do you have a Mobile App?
Our app is currently only available in Omaha, Nebraska. As we continue to grow the app will be available in more locations! In the meantime, we’ve worked hard to make sure our platform is mobile optimized!
